Details about a device which is in the making since ever have emerged today. Unwired View is reporting today that a social-networking focused handset named HTC Myst is rumoured to be launching soon. The phone is made in collaboration with HTC, AT&T and Facebook.
According to their “very reliable source”, the full specs for this device have been confirmed. The phone will feature a 1.5 GHz dual-core MSM8930 Snapdragon CPU from Qualcomm, dual-core MSM8960 SoC, and will include 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory (but no microSD slot for expandable memory).
The HTC Myst will sport a 4.3-inch 720p display, and feature a 5 MP rear camera and a 1.6 MP front-facing camera. It’s not yet clear if it will be using the Ultrapixel technology introduced in HTC One. Other specs include connectivity options such as Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi, LTE, and category 14 HSDPA.
The handset is said to be restricted to an US release, and most probably it will stay that way as it is being made in collaboration with AT&T. Being a social-networking centered device, the handset will run on Google’s Android Jelly Bean and will come pre-loaded with Facebook’s software such as the Facebook app, Facebook Messenger, and Instagram, among others.
