It may be happen to you when you lost the password of your account and the secondary email address is no longer accessible. You should have to enter the verification code, but you've no option to access the email ID that the code was actually sent. Here's the solution to recover the lost password so that you can unlock your Hotmail account.
Steps to recover lost password and recover Hotmail account
- There's a page to reset your password. Choose "I forgot my password" and then "Reset your password"
- In the upcoming page, enter your blocked Hotmail ID (Windows Live ID) and fill the Captcha and click Next
- From Select an option for resetting your password., click on "Customer support" >> then click on the Customer support link.
- Enter a working email address in the field which says "Where should we contact you?" and click Next. A page will be loaded with provisions to your account details and answers to security questions etc. Just follow the instructions. The billing information is not required. After you've done, click submit.
This post covers the solution of getting the laptop screen blank when we switched on the system. If you're failed to get the display as usual even when all other things such as cooling fans are running and other indicators are in proper, you can try these steps to figure out what the problem is or fixing it.

- Unplug the power cord
- Take the battery out
- Press & hold the power button for 60 seconds
- Connect the power supply adapter
- Try to switch on the laptop
- Re-insert the battery back into the Notebook
If the problem still continues, try the following.
2. Try connecting an external monitor (you may use your PC monitor) to your laptop. Most monitors are equipped with a VGA connector. (If you're laptop is very modern, it may only have HDMI port. So try getting a HDMI to VGA connector).
Switch on the laptop after you connected the monitor. Use the specified monitor switch key of you laptop such as Fn+F1 or anything to toggle between the laptop display and the externally connected monitor. If you're not getting pictures on the connected monitor, try the next .
If the external monitor shows pictures as it should, then it may be a problem with the LCD display itself, specifically with the backlit bulb or inverter. This problem may also by problems with the lid actuator switch. It's better to take your laptop to a service center.
3. Often, if you're working on dusty surroundings, the laptop RAM could have dust stick on it. This results in system failure. Take a screw driver, open your computer takes out the RAM module carefully, the clean it using a soft cloth or something else then put it back on the board. Faulty RAM chip could also blanks out your display.
Recently I saw a thread in a popular computing forum about missing the sound while on internet. Some people not getting sound on web videos and other interactive content while others failed to hear sounds played from hard disk too. Here's some tips that might solve your issue permanently.
As I mentioned already, those who're unable to get sound while playing web videos, it's more likely to be a problem associated with flash plug-in. Try upgrading Adobe flash player or
download the latest flash player and install it. The Google Chrome browser Adobe® Flash® Player built-in so if the plug-in crashes could stop sound output. Restart chrome.
If you're not getting any sound while browsing internet, the try these steps as it described.
- Search for msacm32.drv in Windows folder (probably C:\windows)
- Make sure that the directory Windows\system32 includes the file named msacm32.drv
- If it's not there, copy it from any other directories within thw hole drive (C, D etc). in case if you cant find anywhere in your computer, the you need to copy it from from another computer.
- Download this addreg.reg registry file.
- Open the file addreg.reg file and click yes.
- Check the sound again.
