A deluge of images of a device codenamed GT-I9502 have surface on a Chinese forum, which can possibly be a Chinese variant of the yet to be announced Galaxy S4.
The images reveal a 5-inch smartphone with similar hardware front and design of the Galaxy SIII. The source claims the device to be a dual-SIM variant of the Galaxy S4 made for China’s local carrier Unicom. Samsung is known to test a number of prototypes in the wild before launch to hinder any final design leaks, just like it did with the Galaxy SIII last year.
The phone sports a 1080p display, runs on Android Jellybean 4.2.1, has a 13 MP camera, and is powered by a “Universal5410″ 1.8 GHz processor with 2 GB of RAM and a PoverVR SGX 544MP GPU. The specifications line up perfectly with previous leaks, and the “Universal5410″ is most likely a codename for the Exynos Octa 5410, an eight-core processor with four A15 cores for power and four A7 cores for power efficiency.
The design looks a bit crude for a flagship, with a fake texture and longish design. Whatever may be the case, Samsung is all set to unveil its latest flagship phone at the Unpacked event in New York City on March 14. Are you ready for it?
