Google’s Play Store has turned one today and there are gifts for all of you by the Google Play team. It was exactly one year ago that Google rechristened the Android Market as the Google Play Store. Here’s a message from the Google Play team:
It was just a year ago today that we launched this amazing shop on the interwebs to offer the best in digital content. Since the best parties are the ones that send you home with a present, today we celebrate our birthday with a festive goodie bag full of gifts. Don’t delay in picking up these limited-time offers. It’s been an incredible first year and we look forward to sharing the gift of digital diversions for many more to come.
Google launched its Google Play Books service in India recently and is expanding its presence all around the world with nifty features. The offers currently going on are mostly in-app offers, followed by music, TV shows and movies. Kung Fu Panda is discounted to half its price, the pilot of Breaking Bad is free, and the book A Quest of Heroes by Morgan Rice is available for free.
