Blackberry Z10 and Q10 the very first Blackberry 10 devices.
Research In Motion (RIM) released its first line of devices – Blackberry Z10 and Q10 – running the QNX based BB10 operating system.
While the Z10 is an all in all touchscreen phone, Q10 also features a physical Qwerty keyboard (Q for qwerty probably ). Owing to the squeezing in of the keyboard, the Q10 has a rather uncanny 3.1″ screen and a 330ppi pixel density. Well that’s the only thing that sets apart the Q10 from the Z10.
The Z10 has an 4.2″ WXGA screen that runs at a display resolution of 1,260 x 768 with a pixel density of 336 ppi. We are unsure of the specifics at the moment but both the Z10 and Q10 will run on a 1.5GHz dual core processor and is augmented by 2 Gigabytes of RAM. You have 2 storage options to choose from – 16GB and 32GB – and expandable memory via microSD card too.
Anything less than an 8MP camera wouldn’t do justice to a top end smart phone like this one. And Blackberry hasn’t fallen short on this front. The autofocus enabled 8MP camera is capable of shooting a 1080p video. Throw in a HDMI port and that squares off your multimedia needs.
The Z10 will hit the shelves first in UK and Canada next week. US markets will have to wait until March 2013. Now release slated yet for the Indian markets though.
