Android 4.0, named as Ice Cream Sandwich, is now beginning to expand and very soon it will replace Android 2.3, named as Gingerbread, as the top Android version. Actually, most phones were coming with Android 2.3 version but now in a few weeks , most phones and tablets will come with Android 4.0 version. And well, the start of this change has already begun. Many tablets with Android 4.0 have already been launched and now, Sony has come with its first. So, in this post I will be comparing Sony’s first Android 4.0 phone to the world’s first Android 4.0 phone. So, let’s begin the comparison!
Sony Xperia Neo L – Android 4.0(Ice Cream Sandwich)
Well, the main thing which led to this comparison was the operating system of these phones. This comparison is to find which Android 4.0 phone is better. Both the phones have the same operating system so they cannot be compared in this round.
Result – Tie
Sony Xperia Neo L – 1 Ghz Scorpio
The processor of a phone is no more ignored as it was in previous years. Now, before buying a phone, people make sure that the processor of the phone is fast. So, the processor is now given more importance than ever before. Well, the clock speed says it all. Even a difference of .2 Ghz makes a difference, not a huge one indeed but it does make a difference. Well, this small difference gives the round to Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
Result – Samsung Galaxy Nexus wins
Sony Xperia Neo L – 1 GB Internal, 512 MB RAM, Memory expandable up to 32 GB using microSD card
Well, the memory specifications are varying here. Galaxy Nexus has 16 GB internal memory but it cannot be expanded as there is no card slot. Plus, it has 1 GB RAM. On the other hand Neo L has 1 GB internal memory and 512 MB RAM. Memory is expandable up to 32 GB. Comparing here would be quite difficult. Actually, the price of memory cards has increased and it will be better to directly buy a phone with more internal memory. Also, Neo L has less RAM as compared to Galaxy Nexus.
