“Rooting” has lots of meaning but when it comes to the Android device it has only one meaning and the meaning is very much similar to jail breaking. Rooting an Android phone means that you are freeing your device from all the limits laid down by the company and once you root up your Android device you will have full control over it. You will be able to do some tweaks and you will even be able to run cracked versions of different softwares. Rooting up an Android device hence becomes necessary evil. Rooting has lots of benefits, which cannot be enjoyed until and unless your device is rooted. Android device can be easily rooted and this is what makes Android devices the best, perhaps. I have told you the advantages, but let me tell you that there is a very big disadvantage too and that is once you root up your Android device your warranty will be completely devoid, it will be no longer functional. Now the decision is yours, whether to go with it or not. And as far as other benefits of rooting an Android device are concerned, here they go –
Full Control Over The Device
I do agree with the fact that rooting your Android device is dangerous but I don’t think that there is any harm in doing that because almost every 4
th of the user of Android user has rooted its Android phone. Once you have rooted your Android phone you can customize your phone the way you want. The difference between rooted and un-rooted Android phone is something similar like sites on
www.wordpress.com and
www.wordpress.org . Getting full control on a device means that you have got full access to its every corner and that means a lot.
Manual Updates
Some of you might consider this as a disadvantage but it has got lots of significance. If your device will have manual updates on, you will get tons of benefits and one of them is loading the custom features. Custom features like multi touch and turn-by-turn GPS navigation system. These are the features which were not released when the device was initially released.
Tethering Power
Once you root up your Android device you will get the tethering power which means that you will be able to turn your device into many hardwares and one of them is a router! Tethering will also enable you to use features like Wi-Fi hotspot at a place which has 3G or 4G network. One problem with Wi-Fi hotspot is that generally the carriers charge more than expected fees, so you must add on some additional features to minimize the fees.
Tweak Your Device
This is the best feature of rooted Android phones. If your device is rooted you will have full access to your phone which means that you can tweak your phone in such a way that it enhances the performance of your phone. Tweaking your phone will not only enhance its capability but will eventually also save lots of your time. You can even tweak your battery and make it last for longer hours, you can even overlock your processor to speed your device.
Tons Of Softwares
Another amazing benefit for rooted Android phones. If your device will be rooted you will be able to run tons of unapproved apps. Apps like Juice Defender have got lots of potential to help the users out in the needy hour but they are not approved hence you need to root up your Android device to let them function properly. If your device isn’t rooted then you better root it now because there are tons of apps which you are missing.
