HTC One X Vs HTC One XL [Specs & Features]-Comparison

HTC has released quite a lot smartphones in this season of MWC and HTC One X and HTC One XL are some of those smartphones. Both the smartphones are spectacular; they have an awesome design, sleek body, large display size and other features too. Actually, there are very small differences between these two smartphones but these are the differences which have got the power to change the buyer’s mood. So, let’s see which of these phones has got more power and is expected to sell larger amount of units in this global phone arena.

Operating System

Operating system, as you can see is same in both the cases. Android Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) is already in a lot of demand across the world and is turning out to be a major hurdle for the success of iOS 5, which too is doing a great job.

Although the clock speed of both the smartphones is same but there is a lot of difference between the GPU and the chipset version in these two smartphones. HTC One X is having Nvidia Tegra 3 chipset while the chipset of HTC One XL is Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon. Snapdragon chipsets are the experienced chipsets while Nvida chipsets are comparatively new. The GPU of HTC One X is ULP GeForce while the GPU of HTC One XL is Adreno 225.

Memory size of both the phones is fairly different. HTC One X is having 32GB internal memory while the internal memory size of HTC One XL is 16GB with 1GB RAM. There is no expandable memory slot in both the smartphones, so you have to choose between these two really smartly – according to your needs.

Camera Quality

Camera quality of both the phone is fairly good, actually it’s same in both the phones. HTC One X and HTC One XL, are having a powerful 8MP primary camera with features like autofocus, LED flash, simultaneous HD video and image recording, geo-tagging, face and smile detection etc. They both even allow you to record full HD videos at the speed of 30fps. Both of them have even got a 1.3MP secondary camera, which too allows you to record HD videos.

Data Connectivity

Both the phones have quite similar data connectivity features. Both the phones have GPRS, EDGE, NFC, USB v2.0, Bluetooth v4.0. The difference lies in the 4G network support. HTC One X doesn’t support 4G network but HTC One XL supports 4G network on LTE 1800 / 2600 bands.

Form Factor

Both of these phones have a similar design. HTC One X is having 134.4 x 69.9 x 8.9 mm dimensions and what fun, HTC One XL too is having exactly same dimensions. Weight of HTC One X is 129grams while the weight of HTC One XL is 130grams. Both the phones have a 4.7inch super IPS LCD2 capacitive touchscreen with 16M color support and 312ppi pixel density. For the protection purpose, both of these phones are embedded with Corning Gorilla Glass.

Expected Price

Price of both the phones is really hard to expect but according to me, the price of this phone would be somewhere around Rs.35,000 for HTC One XL and around Rs.32,000 for HTC One X.

What we conclude from this post is that both the phones are really great. As I have already mentioned that there are really less differences between these two phones but those differences matter a lot when it comes to buying a phone. So, choose the phone you find better for yourself. Had I been on your place, I would have gone with the HTC One XL because soon 4G will be launched in India, and that will definitely give me faster access to the world.
